  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk, starting and ending with the dry ingredients.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips and chopped strawberries.
  7. Pour batter into prepared liners, filling them about 2/3 full.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cool completely before decorating.

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can use strawberry extract.
  • Ensure that the strawberries are well-drained before adding them to the batter.
