Cinnamon Crunch Swirled Banana Bread is the perfect indulgent treat, combining the sweetness of ripe bananas with a crunchy cinnamon topping.

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter.
  4. Mix in the baking soda and salt.
  5. Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  6. Finally, mix in the flour until just incorporated.
  7. In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon for the topping.
  8. Pour half of the bread batter into a greased loaf pan.
  9. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon mixture over the batter.
  10. Pour the remaining batter on top and sprinkle the remaining cinnamon mixture.
  11. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  12. Let cool before removing from the pan.

Notes

  • For an extra crunch, add chopped nuts to the batter.
  • Make sure to use overripe bananas for best flavor.
