  • 1 cup boiling water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  3. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.

  7. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool in pans for 10 minutes, then remove to wire racks to cool completely.
