Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the sour cream, eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Let the muffins cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
