A delightful and savory casserole featuring French onion flavors and tender chicken, complemented by turkey bacon and orzo pasta.

  • 2 cups orzo pasta
  • 1 pound chicken breast, cooked and shredded
  • 1 cup turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the chopped turkey bacon until crispy, then remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add sliced onions and cook until caramelized.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked orzo, shredded chicken, caramelized onions, turkey bacon, beef broth, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and cheese is golden.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!
