  • 3 pounds chuck roast
  • 1 cup turkey bacon, chopped
  • 2 cups onions, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup French onion soup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add sliced onions and cook until caramelized.
  4. Place the chuck roast in a roasting pan and season with garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour the beef broth, French onion soup, and Worcestershire sauce over the roast.
  6. Add the caramelized onions and turkey bacon on top.
  7. Cover and roast for 3-4 hours, or until meat is tender.
  8. Let rest for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
