- 2 cups basmati rice
- 4 cups water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
- Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add the rinsed rice to the pot and stir for about 2 minutes.
- Pour in the water, turmeric, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
