Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Add the softened butter and mix until crumbly.
  4. Fold in the diced apples and caramel sauce until evenly coated.
  5. Roll out the pastry and cut it into squares.
  6. Place a spoonful of the apple-caramel mixture in the center of each square.
  7. Fold the pastry over and seal the edges.
  8. Brush with the beaten egg and place on a baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving.
