  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips.
  6. Spread half of the dough into a greased baking pan.
  7. Drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle sea salt over the top.
  8. Spread the remaining dough over the caramel layer.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
