Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add olive oil and sauté onions and bell peppers until soft.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart and cooking until browned. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Once the beef is cooked, layer the vegetables, turkey bacon, and provolone cheese over the top. Cover and let cheese melt.
  5. Serve in hoagie rolls, topped with the melted cheese and veggies.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add jalapeños or hot sauce.
  • Use whole wheat rolls for a healthier option.
