Ingredients

  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked turkey bacon, chopped
  • 4 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add broccoli and sauté for about 5 minutes.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes until broccoli is tender.
  5. Use an immersion blender to blend the soup until smooth.
  6. Stir in cream, cheese, turkey bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  7. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until cheese is melted and heated through.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, omit the turkey bacon.
