Delicious and easy recipe for homemade birria tacos that are full of flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 large onion
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 12 corn tortillas
  • 1 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 lime

Instructions

  1. Start by marinating the beef with spices overnight.
  2. In a pot, brown the beef on all sides.
  3. Add in onion, garlic, and bay leaves, then cover with water and simmer.
  4. Once tender, shred the beef and set aside.
  5. Toast tortillas on a skillet and filled them with the shredded beef.
  6. Garnish with cilantro and serve with lime.
