  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup roasted cherries, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  4. Add the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.
  5. Fold in the roasted cherries gently.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
