  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 8 slices provolone cheese

Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker, combine beef broth, water, Worcestershire sauce, and dried thyme.
  2. Add the beef chuck roast to the slow cooker.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the meat is tender.
  4. Remove the beef, shred it, and return it to the slow cooker to soak in the broth.
  5. Toast hoagie rolls and layer with shredded beef and provolone cheese.
  6. Serve with a small bowl of the broth for dipping.
