  • 1 cup powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together vanilla extract, eggs, milk, and melted butter.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  5. Using a spoon, drop small amounts of the batter into the hot oil.
  6. Fry until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Remove beignets and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
