A delicious and easy to make creamy chicken marsala dish cooked in a crockpot, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 4 breasts chicken
  • 1 cup marsala wine
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Brown the chicken for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  4. Transfer the chicken to the crockpot.
  5. Add marsala wine and mushrooms over the chicken.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  7. In the last hour of cooking, stir in the heavy cream.
  8. Serve hot over pasta or rice.

Notes

  • For a thicker sauce, mix a tablespoon of cornstarch with water and add into the crockpot during the last 30 minutes.
  • Pair with a side salad for a complete meal.
