A delicious one pot recipe combining the flavors of French onion soup and pasta, topped with crispy prosciutto.

  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 4 ounces prosciutto, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add onions and cook until caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.
  3. Stir in the chopped prosciutto and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Add beef broth, pasta, thyme, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until pasta is cooked.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese and serve hot.
