1 pound ribeye steak, thinly sliced
1 large onion, thinly sliced
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
4 slices provolone cheese
2 tablespoons olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
4 hoagie rolls
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the sliced onions and peppers, and sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
Push the vegetables to the side of the pan, add the sliced steak, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
Combine the vegetables and steak, then lay the provolone slices on top and cover until melted.
Fill each hoagie roll with the steak and vegetable mixture, then serve.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add sautéed mushrooms.
Use a meat slicer for the steak for better results.
