This traditional Thai dessert combines sweet mango and creamy coconut sticky rice for a delightful treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup glutinous rice
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 ripe mangoes
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the glutinous rice and soak it in water for at least 4 hours.
  2. Steam the rice for about 30 minutes until cooked.
  3. In a saucepan, combine coconut milk, sugar, and salt. Heat until sugar dissolves.
  4. Toss cooked rice with half of the coconut mixture.
  5. Serve the sticky rice with sliced mango and drizzle with remaining coconut sauce.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds if desired.
